I’m a mom of 2 boys who used to craft more, sleep more, weigh less, and wear cooler shoes.
I like thrift stores, creating stuff from fabric, collecting ephemera, and reading (although I would add that to the ‘less’ column). My new passion is going to auctions. I have been to exactly one. But it was a rockin’ good time. I picked up a box of vintage valentine cards at the aforementioned auction and I’ve surprised myself by getting really into them.
Leave me a comment, if you are so moved, and I’ll get back to you!
Check my etsy shop at paperdollsforboys.etsy.com, let me know you found me through my site and I’ll add something special to your order!

Hi there! I found you through a comment you left on my blog. Thanks for the nice words and I love the amazing party you threw for your son! Much better than Chuck E Cheese
Take care and happy blogging!
trix, it’s all so fabulous! you’re one rockin’ mama i must say!
will you do my birthday party? i’m really into lost and chris isaak. can you combine the two?
how do you find the time to do all this blogging and still keep up with your shows?
keep it comin’ love
J-Bo, Thanks for taking the time to ask! You just have to get your priorities straight. 1. Blogging 2. Television 3. Blog Dashboard Stats checking (this is more fun if you do it compulsively) and then if time permits, 4. Dinner and 5. Laundry
um….family?
Dear J-Bo,
You can’t school me on my own site. I’m sure there are rules for this kind of thing, Google it.
All production on the Lost inside Chris Issak party has hereby ceased. You’re on your own sister.
Your former friend,
Me
Simmer down Sister. I know good and well what your priorities are. You could say they’re comparable to mine. Except for the craft thing.
Anyway, the party must continue, n’est ce pas? Maybe it could be turned into a shower for the wee little one in my belly…
Awaiting your witty response,
Jax
J-Bo,
I’m fresh outta wit but I still love you (and the wee one in your belly)!!!!!!!

As a complete stranger, I must say that I think your photo here is fabulous…the wings, the bead necklace, ( which matches the blue striped jumper)…way too cool! Oh, and do I see pierced ears lurking behind that Farrah do?
“thrifting every chance I get”…..are you my soulmate?
i found you via you finding me – can’t wait to read your archives!
Hi there!
Your mom gave me your link when I saw her this weekend… I am Kathy Nelson’s daughter and your former school mate, although I was just a few years younger.
Anyway, I too have two boys now (almost 3 and almost 1). Freda thought I would enjoy your site. I love it! I can’t wait to try some of your craft ideas….
You sound like a WONDERFUL mother! Congratulations. I look forward to keeping up via your blog.
Best,
Stephanie
Hi Crafty Momma,
I have just spent an hour perusing your site. I’m impressed and also proud…your Grandmother would be soooo proud to see your creativity! You come from a long line of creative foremothers who stitched and sewed and worked with what they had and it is a joy to see that generation continues. Happy crafting!
Wow… just found you and think I’m addicted already. Great photos and details about your adventures. Can I come along on your thrifting adventures?
hello there! what a great website you have! how cute you all are!

i actually found you when i was googling ’sewing paper’, which is something i’d love to do on my machine, but all that happens is i get nice little holes in my paper but the thread isnt actually staying in the paper – do you have any advice?

Love the little chimp photo! Do you have anything like that in your Etsy shops?
Hi there, first time here.
Neat site:) Found you through a comment you left over at Tangarang. Thought your blog name was cool so I followed and glad I did.
BTW…I love thrifting too.
PaMdora – just saw your note. I did have a bar set featuring these cute little monkeys but I sold it! I’ll keep my eyes open when I head back to Brimfield in April!
you blog is a total joy! Really wonderful!

Hi Tracey,
Thanks for the comments on my Babette Granny blanket. The gray chair in the background of the photo is from Plummer’s furniture. It’s a chain store…maybe there’s a Plummer’s in your ‘hood! The chair was about $375, on sale!
